I have a 1992 Yamaha 130 V-4 that slows down to an idle if I go over 5,000 RPM for a short distance. Is a long beep alarm a temp problem, or an oil pump problem? I've replace the poppet valve, thermostats, water pump, and clean out both water jackets.I don't know what else to do, I'll let the motor set for 20min. and it fine, thats why I believe its a temp. problem...(But, I could be wrong) I can run all day under 5,000 RPM's and not have a problem. I've also notice I'm not going through oil like on my Mercury...
Any advise would appriciated...
