    TRIM INDICATOR

OK i am about to give up on fixing this thing. I have an 2005 200 HPDI and the trim guage quit about 4 months ago. The switch still works as the guage moves when i move the arm manually.
I went and bought the new metal clamp even though my plastic one was still in one piece. the metal one works one time and then the arm gets behind the switch.

Can someone take a decent picture of theirs so i can figure out what I am doing wrong. The little arm coming off my switch has a little bitty grove worn in it, but it doesn't look like it would be enough to interfer with anything.

Guys, I am away from the house until later in the week. If you do not have pictures by then, I will hook you up!

Well I ws looking at a buddies 250 HPDI yesterday and it looks like the sensor arm itself has a triangle piece with a little side post that comes off it. The clamp with the arm rides againts the side post.

Looks like my side post has broken off. I wonder if they sell the arm that screws onto the sensor itself?

Well looks like I have two options then.

    1. Live without it.

    2. Or Im sure I can make up something that will work.

No way in the world Im spending that, because a small piece of plastic is missing.

What about drilling a hole And popping a rivet in it. I would think it would be strong enough & shouldn't rust????

    Re: (Team Stratos)

Try Q-bond brand epoxy. This can only be obtained at a real auto parts store or online. it is made in RSA-south africa. This stuff actually works ,unlike other glues, and I carry one in my shop and one in my vehicle. again it is QBOND. Thanks, David.
