    Power Trim Problems

I have a 2001 Ranger with a 200hp Yamaha. My power trim would not raise all of the way. When it would raise all of the way, it would bleed down after I let off of the switch. I seperated the motor from the cylinder and found debris in the check valve. Could this have caused my problem? After putting it back together it worked fine for about 20 cycles and then the same thing. Again, I found more plastic like debris. Where could this be coming from? Is this a sign of the pump going out? Please help. My mechanic recommended a new motor, but that doesn't make sense.

    Re: Power Trim Problems (bassmasterwannabe)

Check out the parts link at the top of this forum. There are some plastic parts in there so scope it out.
