I bought a Stratos with this like new motor. Like new, except it has a hole in the block. Local tech said the hole is not exactly in the block but in front and can be welded. Repairs around $3000. What to do on a small budget? I have been offered 750 for the trim from a guy who has a 200 and says it will cost him 1600 for trim repair. I was told a builder will buy it for 1000...I do not know much about motors. I see on e bay where the parts sell for a lot. I really do not want to part it out as my goal is to sell it or trade it on a good used 115 hp as the stratos is 17 ft. This motor has digital tach, controls, oil tank, Hot foot, etc...My questions are. What is it worth now? If repaired what would it be worth?...Where or who to sell or trade to?..Also it has a new Yamaha SS prop 14 1/4 x 22 and the only no. I can find is 11262A. What model prop is this and what is it worth? Thank you in advance for any info or advices...
