    Yamaha Vmax 200 power problem

Hey guys, I'm looking for some opinions. I have a 2004 vmax 200 on my Skeeter TZX 200. At just over 1,000 rpms I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel. When I get on plane and speed up I don't notice it anymore. Typically, trimmed all the way up and the hot foot pressed all the way I usually read 70 on the speedometer. This weekend I could not get it over 55 mph. I know sometimes a little more gas in the tanks, heavier partner, slight chop, etc makes a difference, BUT I am definitely losing power. Some of the guys said maybe it's the plugs or the hub is slipping. I can fish, but I am not a motor expert lol. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike.

Do a search in the Yamaha forum for the "O2 sensor" or "oxygen sensor". It is quite possible it is dirty, which will result in false readings to the fuel injection system.

Does anyone know what you use to clean the sensors with? Any tips on cleaning them?

Soak it in SeaFoam. SeaFoam is a fuel additive that is available at most auto parts stores.
