Yamaha V-Max 225 1999 0066 Fuel Injected-----Fuel Issues! Please help!

It appears after pulling the plugs that the cylinders are not receiving fuel. Does this sound like a fuel pump issue. Also, how full should the fuel pump filter canister be while running? I am showing that it is only half full while running. The boat has only been running on an average of 4-5 times a year for the last two years. Pull cowl, if you smell gas...check fuel diaphragms...may not be that but easy to check...if they leak its a cheap replacement...maybe change fuel cannister...check all lines also...

Unburned fuel coming out of the exhaust and 4 out of 6 brand new plugs were dry....lots of smoke out of exhaust. How full should the fuel filter canister be while operating? Mine is only half full unless I pump the ball. Thank you for your help!

Sounds like low pressure fuel pumps.. unbolt from block so you can see the back of them, squeeze the bulb, and check for leaks out of the diaphragms.

I Agree, sounds like Low Pressure Fuel Pump.Some one else posted similar symptoms,as I recall the consensus: Low Pressure pump.
