was watching my gauges today and looked at the psi gauge and it showed 6 psi and then i tryed to slow down and speed up and the psi would never get over 10 psi, which i normally run around 20 psi.
and then i cruise at around 45 mph at 4000 rpms, today i was crusing at 4000 rpms and only getting 38 mph. just wondering if yall have any ides whats wrong
its a 2005 3.3L HPDI and has been serviced every year and never had any problems
was that gps or speedo? IS there any way you could have had something stuck on lower unit?
Your pressure gage should read better than that. Water pump may need replacing, when was the last time?

i go buy gps, so i no the speed was down, i dont know if they change the water pump out or not. im thinking its a impeller.
Check the poppit valve for debris also...It can give you low water pressure too...
As for the speed being down...The motor was turning the same rpm's, so either the prop has been damaged and is slipping badly, or you were carrying extra weight or triming the engine different and not running as efficient...Loss of speed at the same rpm is a set-up or prop issue, not a motor issue...
