    Over heat buzzer

While running yesterday my alarm buzzer went off and it idled down. Not sure what the h20 was prior to but it was spraying a stream out I do know that. I stopped and let it cool off and the buzzer went off so I cranked it and had plenty of pressure. We were in pretty dirty water with a lot of trash. Any idea of what it could have been?

I thought about that. I didn't see anything around it when I stopped but it could have fallen off. I didn't know if it had a thermostat that could be a problem.

    Re: Over heat buzzer (Daniel)

Danial, I had the same thing happen in the IBF tournament yesterday....Was idleing thru a shallow canal and the buzzer goes off...I showed no water pressure on the guage, but the motor still had a weak pee stream...Trimmed the motor up and no bags or trash...I figure I picked up some junk that plugged something, so I put it in reverse and tried to blow it out a few times, but it would clear it out...I let it cool and finally the horn quit coming on, so I fired up and after I got to where I could put it on plane, the pressure guage jumped around a few times when I was running, then it settled down and everything was fine the rest of the day, except it never seemed to have as strong a stream as before..I figure I might need a water pump change...
What H2O pressure do you guys normally see at idle...I had around 5 psi when in gear and about 1000-1200 rpm, but it dropped down to 2 psi at base idle...WOT pressure was 20-22psi...

Is that hard to get cleaned out?
