07 591 Nitro Loose Throttle Control

My entire shifting/throttle lever feels a little loose, wobbles left to right, not much be enough to concern me. Plus there’s some small crews on the back side of the throttle handle that are very loose, small alum piece right at the bottom of the red neutral lever. When I pull up on the red neutral lever the aluminum piece slides out cuz the screws are backed out quite away and sometimes jams up my shifter. There in a difficult place to retighten and I can see they have a small torx head. I pried out the plastic cover that’s behind the lever and see some bolts but can’t get the cover off with the handle in place. Can someone tell me how to get this lever off so I can tighten everything back up. Thanks

A good starting point would be to provide a PICTURE of your control/handle.

    Dozens of possible control boxes.

Ok guys pictures added. As you can see the alum piece at the bottom of the red lever will pop out of place because the crews are loose. I took one picture with it in place but i have the push it back in now and then.

-Place control handle in the FORWARD position

-CAREFULLY pry out the "throttle only" Button (in center of control handle) with a small, flatblade screwdriver. Don't panic if it breaks- about 1 in 3 do (and replacements are available).

-RETURN CONTROL HANDLE TO NEUTRAL POSITION (IMPORTANT)

-Remove the center bolt that holds the control handle on.

-CAREFULLY slide the control handle off, being careful not to knife or cut the trim wires, or lose the plastic ring that buffers the handle from the faceplate.

    -Address any loose hardware.

-Reinstall handle on shaft at NEUTRAL position.

-Install center bolt with BLUE LIQUID LOCTITE

-Snap throttle only button back in place.
