My 06 115opti had a alarm go off while on plain,i shut it down it was pumping water fine so after a little I changed batteries out with my trolling motor she fires up no more alarms now 3 trips later I got the same alarm help!!! I'm thinking low voltage??
Not enough information to form any accurate opinion (DOZENS of possibilities).
Always assume that the warning horn is working PROPERLY, and informing you of a critical problem, UNTIL (and UNLESS) proven otherwise.
The BEST means of knowing what caused the alarm is to have the engine connected to the Computer Diagnostic System for PRINTOUTS of:
-Run History
-Freeze Frame (Fault) History
Information in these reports will indicate what fault occurred (leading to a much more accurate means of addressing it).
