250 Pro XS vs. 250 Pro XS w/ Torque Master L.U.

Outside of a couple hundred bucks what is the difference in the Lower Units of the Torque Master and the Sport. I am looking at 250 Pro XS and 250 Pro XS w/ Torque Master L.U.

It is going on a 2007 2200 Gambler. I have been advised to go with the Torque Master but i do not know the difference. So i figured this would be the place to ask.

Go with the torquemaster . that is the right lower unit for that boat. Gamblers are heavy in the rear and the T.M. carries the load much better. Also 1.75 gears

    Bob:

    DEFINITELY the Torquemaster.

BTW... the 250 ProXS is NOT available with a Sportmaster Gearcase (only options are the Verado-style case, and the Torquemaster).

Sportmaster only comes on the 250XS Sport.
