I was fishing a night tournament one night and I heard a constant hum. It was going most of the night then it finally stopped humming. I never thought about it again. The other day my automatic livewell stopped working so I took the switch panel off to see if it was a bad switch, while in there i noticed a fuse holder, I opened the fuse holder and there was a 10amp fuse burnt out, I replaced the fuse and that hum came back and it's coming from the alarm What's up with that?
Do you hear a distinct warning horn beep as you turn the key on? Same sound- or different from the "hum" you described?

The key alarm sounds fine when starting the boat. The hum is a low but noticible constant hum when the key is on.
Keeping in mind that you WILL set a warning horn fault (won't particularly hurt anything), you could unhook the tan/blue stripe wire from the horn TEMPORARILY (just to see if it silences the "hum" you're hearing).
Reconnect after checking....
