Awesome E-Tec's!!!!!

I have a 225 HO E-Tec...It has sat in my garage for the past month and a half ...Finally made it to the lake Sunday, thinking I would have to crank and crank to get her fired up...WRONG!!! She fired on the first turn of the keyswitch just like I had been fishing the day before...I didn't have to squeeze the fuel bulb or nothing!!!! Just AWESOME


I do have a question for the experts here on the board however, My boat will sit in my garage (during the winter only) for maybe a month at a time for a slightly warm day (anything over 32 degrees works for me) to come along...Is there anything I need to do to keep the motor in good shape? (Fuel conditoner, heated blanket , or anything else)

I may fish several days in a row and then due to rain and snow not fish for a month or month and a half...Any suggsetions???


Again I just want to say that BRP did their homework beofre this motor was released, I had a 1998 175 Ficht and it was junk....E-Tec's are JUST AWESOME!!!

Depends on how long you let her sit, if it will be months....follow the winterizing procedure in the owners manual, if only as you posted, get some BRP fuel conditioner and follow the instructions on the bottle.

It probably won't be more than 1 month or so defintely not more than month and a half at the max....Just depends on the weather here in lovely East Tennessee!!!

I would dump some BRP 2+4 fuel conditioner in the tank just in case the weather gets bad.

I'm with Rusty here, Your weather isn't to different from mine here in N. Ga. With today's gas we want it fresh as we can get it!

Get it in the fuel tank in the next few weeks just in case, that way its all the way through the fuel system.

If you drink what John & Mike drink you better get several cases of stabelizer.They make lots of bad gas. OH,yall are talking about gasoline.
