    Trolling Motor Rope

Ok fellow "Green fish Hunters" - have you had the joyful experience of having your "TM" rope break on you? Why don't they use coated stainless steel cable?

Yup, that's why I keep one of those old fish stringers in my boat. Quick replacement. Guess i need to invest in a coated cable.

I saw a cable type for motorguide trolling motors at academy before. I've never had a problem with my 5 year old minn kota or my 19 year old motor giude.

I put 1/8" cable from Lowes on mine, never had it break but there is some extra things you have to do. Need to put a stainless washer inside the plastic pull handle because the cable will wear a groove and pull out of that handle. Also before putting the handle on slide a piece of rubber shrink hose over the cable and melt where it slides through that little eye on the back of the trolling motor bracket. May take a half hour to do the work, but never worry about it again.

Done that one before, after getting up and dusting myself off I laughed for at least 30 mins because that was some funny chit.
