    Expensive Trip

I think I have become the first person to pay 600+ dollars to fish at false river...I spent 358 on new tires and bearings, and then dropped my 300 blackberry in 9ft of water! And I didn't weigh anything!

I am starting to lose my interest in fishing, I'm afraid. I'm tired of spending all day at a lake and catching 2 or 3 with no keepers, when other people are catching 15 with 2 or 3 keepers. What's the point anymore? After the morning bite, I'll go the rest of the day with nary a nibble some days. Actually most days.

Anyone looking for an old Stratos?

I go just to get out of the house. When I actually catch fish, it's like icing on the cake.

I play golf as well, so I flip flop from fishing to golf. Not that I am really that good at either and come to think of it I get frustrated doing both of them Guess it is time to take up stamp collecting.

I lost a cell phone this year while fishing as well, but it was just a razor

Maybe you can help me here. I fail to see the excitement of stamp collecting.

    Re: Expensive Trip (Alan S)

My wife hates bass fishing so she's always on the back of the boat with the night crawlers. If the bass aint hittin on much, I pull out the Zebco 33 and grab a beer. We will troll down Chenal on False River and just catfish sometimes.
I have only taken my boat out 2 times this year though. No time for fishing anymore. I would sell it if I didn't owe what I owe on it. Maybe this fall we can get back out more.
