Academy is coming to Wichita

Read on Kansas.com this morning. 29th and Maize near Lowes. They are breaking ground as soon as next week and plan to open this year.

I go to the one in Joplin or Springfield every time work takes me down that way. Really good deals most of the time. Love that store

You may be thinking about Sportsman Warehouse which closed in that Wal-Mart/Lowes shopping center on the south side of East Kellogg.

They might come to the Olathe/KC area...they are building stores like crazy, we will be designing 42 stores this year. I sent the plans out on the wichita store not too long ago

I have a feeling that someone is going to be the odd man out. With Cabela's opening, Gander (SUCKS DONKEY D*CK) is downtown, Dicks are East and West, Zeiner's is Midtown, all the Walmarts around and now Academy. I think that there is going to be some places left out in the cold.

My opinion is Gander. Those people are so inept when it comes to anything. There are a couple of good guys there that go out of the way and know their stuff. But for the most part, lazy, uninformed idiots.
