Drove up to the Kansas City Sport Show with my wife on Friday. We arrived just in time for Jay Yelas' 4 p.m. seminar. Met up with Rodney Bledsoe - he is the man!! We'd probably still be looking for a parking place if he hadn't told me about the underground parking garage. There have been a TON of changes since the last time I'd been to Bartle Hall. Rodney also saved up a couple of seats in the front row!!

Anyhow, we really enjoyed Jay's seminar. We got a chance to chat with Jay after the seminar and take a couple of pictures. Jay mentioned fishing with Jimmie Mason at the PAA tourney on Fork last year. It just so happens I fished with Jimmie on Lake Wheeler on Jan 3rd. Small world.

Had a nice chat with Rodney and then we parted ways to check out the rest of the show. To say I was greatly disappointed would be an gross understatement. WTH happened to all the fishing tackle vendors?? It looks just like a larger version of the Kansas Sport, Boat & Travel show here in Wichita now -- which means PATHETIC!!!

Rodney - great to meet you and thanks for the directions and saving the seats. Great display of the old stuff including DougV's SuperSkeeter.
