    Sport Show II

Was anybody else as disappointed as i was about the sport show?

What did they have 12 maybe 15 bass boats-
Only 3 dealers that carried them?

But if i wanted to buy windows, pots and pans, mops and brooms, or some sort of all purpose handi wipe - the sport show was the place to go!

No offense to the sponsors that were there, i appreciate you taking your time and energy to make a show at the sport show. But if you wanted to compare something other than Skeeter and Strato's you were pretty much out of luck.

Oh well - what else do i have to waste 9 bucks on ( oh and another 5 bucks to park)

I couldn't agree more. I won't be back any time soon - that's for sure. Jay Yelas' seminar was the only highlight for me.

Its the same every year. But for some reason I always go even after telling myself each time I will never be back.

    Re: Sport Show II (Champer196)

I went Saturday but didn't even walk the isles.

Talked with Dan for an hour then left.

It seemed small for a Kansas City show.

But there sure seemed to be a lot of people there.

The Jay Yelas and Boyd Duckett seminars were worth the $8 plus parking. The Rick Lapoint graph seminar wasn't bad if you where thinking about buy the Hummingbird side imaging unit. The restored Skeeter was pretty cool also but agree that the rest was a complete wash..................

Wish i would have made arragments to see the Lapoint seminair on Hummbird sidefinders - that would have been great.

I guess the show was better than sitting at home watching TV I got to meet a couple BBCer, Jay Yelas one of my favorites for many years, and drool over some new fiberglass.

I like other would like to see more fishing related exhibits. I've always enjoyed going to the Spring Classic @ BPS in Springfield.

Had the same disappointments last year, so refused to go this year. I guess I remember years past when it was fantastic! It dwindles every year and my guess is it will die if it does not improve.

I know a couple guys that had displays and they thought it was much better (bussiness whys) than the previous years so don't think it is going away anytime soon.

The show in Springfield is hands down the best show I have ever been to. Plus it is free (besided gas). I never leave happy after making the trip.

The Boat Show will definatly come through on the bass boat side, last yr there lots of nice displays with some beautiful boats. Ive talked with the guy putting on the Boat Show this yr and he makes it sound like it will only be bigger and better
