Boater killed on Paintsville Lake yesterday

    From WKYT's web-site:

An afternoon on the water turns deadly, at a Kentucky lake.
68-year-old Paul Robinson and his wife, Nancy, were thrown from their boat, after it hit another on Painstville Lake, in Johnson County.

Police say Robinson's own boat hit and killed him while he was in the water.
His body is being sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.

So sad! Always use your kill switch!

I was fishing the lake when it happened. One of the guys from my fishing club was involved in the accident. Horrible tragedy., feel for the deceased's wife.

For anyone that has not fished the lake, there are a couple of S curves down lake from the dam. The boats came around the curve and hit each other. The couple in the one boat were thrown from the boat, no kill switch. I believe that the boat ran him over and he never came up. The guy from my club grabbed the lady from the water and after the other boat hit the shore he drove over there and turned it off. Like I said horribel tragedy...It is stuff like this that has me always wearing my life jacket when I am running and I always have the kill switch hooked up.

Very close to home for me. I fish that lake often. It is very dangerous due to lack of visibility. So sorry to hear about this unspeakable tragedy
