I wish I could give you a detailed report but I have not spent much time on the water during the current heat waveMy few limited trips have been in the late afternoon for 3-4 hours. My results have been slow even on a good day

I seldom night fish but I keep in touch with some people that have been out at night and they are having some success jumping around from point to point. Under water brush piles (if you know which points has them) is the ticket. There is very few points with actual standing cover so if you don't know where the underwater brush is just go out before dark and scout out some points. Look for small trees on the waters edge that have had the top cut out and I guarantee there is under water cover near buy. Milk jug aluminum can paint on a tree they are all a dead give away. I seldom main lake fish but that is the stuff I look for when I am out there.
Where are you staying at Green? I am located about 4 miles from the Holmes Bend Boat dock. Coming from Lake Cumberland to Green you will drive buy my place if your staying at Holmes Bend. They have a large campground about 1/2 mile before you get to the Marina plus some cabins within 200 yards of the water with a lake view.
Thanks for the response. We're staying at the state park. I'll probably hit the main lake points, as that is where I've had luck at on Cumberland. I'm planning to throw jigs and worms. It will be after dark but we'll troll around a little before dark to find those brushpiles. Thanks again![]()
