The townhouse is finally back on the market for rental in Destin FL. Here is a link to the unit with pictures and info. If you go down make sure to leave some Corona and lime in the fridge for me. I love going down there, I try to find the best margaurita on the rocks. So far my favorite is Lousiana Lagniappe. The crawfish etouffee(sp) is absolutely delicious! I also like Theo's pizza joint on old 98 by the unit.

Destin Favorites (Restaurants) updated Summer 06
List compiled by The ThomasÂs & PeeblesÂ
Always call a restaurant before going to see if they have a 2-for-1 entrée hour. Most do between 5-6p.m. Also, in the peak season (June-August), expect to wait 30 min-1 hour at most popular restaurants. We usually send a Âsearch party out ahead of us (the dadÂs usually) to get in line for a table. Then we, the moms and kids, follow about 30 minutes later. It just works easier!
CASUAL DINING
1. Café GrazieÂs  closer to Destin off New 98, (Turn left at Motel, HamptonÂs, we think.) ItÂs a very good Italian Restaurant and we all love their breadsticks/garlic/olive oil. YouÂll love their thin pizza, but I usually order something else. DonÂt order too much because youÂll fill up on bread anyway. Their seafood is great, too! Their phone number is 837-7240.
2. Busters  is in the BrunoÂs (or Publix, now) shopping center on old 98 towards just before the outlet mall on the left. If you like oysters on the half shell they have the best. Their happy hour for oysters is very good and their Amberjack sandwich is good.
3. FishermanÂs Wharf  Downtown Destin on your left, on the Marina. GREAT crab cakes!
4. Pompano JoeÂs  food vs. prices questionable, but great view and good Kids meals.
5. Pancake Creperie  next door to the Copper Kettle  across from Outlet Mall. GREAT BÂfast and cool atmosphere. Go on a weekday, not weekend- very crowded.
6. Great new restaurant in SandestinÂs Baytowne Wharf called Acme Oyster House Its Cajun! HammerHeads overlooks the Bay  never eaten there, but it looks fun!
7. Dewey Destins- on Pier A by the bridge (turn RIGHT just before going over the bridge to Okaloosa Island)  VERY VERY casual and rather secluded. Picnic tables and casual food. I even think the entire thing is outside  great for kids to run around and explore. BethÂs favorite place!
8. We donÂt recommend the following, unless you have kids with you:
The BackPorch  okay food, but lots of kids
The Crab Shack  food okay, okay service, lots of kids, but kids meals come in buckets with shovels (kinda cool!)
AJÂs  food okay, LOUD, entertainment was okay, more kids
WhaleÂs Tail  more of a bar than restaurant  however, they have great BÂfast!
Nicer Dress
9. Capt DaveÂs  turn left onto Old 98 and its just down from Pompano Joes, past Destiny. Their phone number is 837-6357. Great food  large servings! One dinner can feed two people  just get two sides and/or two salads. They do it all the time.
10. Louisiana Lagniappe  Downtown Destin  turn left onto Gulf Shore Drive onto Holiday Isle. Follow signs. YouÂll turn into what appears to be an apartment or condo complex and will need to get a guest pass from the little guy in the house. Great Cajun and Creole food, among other normal seafoods! Large servings. Pretty view, too!
Very Nice
11. The Ocean Club is very good! It's not far down old 98 Â Just past Sandestin. Actually I think you turn into TopsÂl and then make a quick left just before the guard station. ItÂs also dressier and you need to make reservations (267-3666) and go for the 2 for 1 special times as itÂs also very expensive!
DO NOT GO TO:
Tibs  terrible food
Fudpuckers  you pay for the atmosphere. Food not great.
Copper Kettle- Terribly overpriced and not good
Lucky Snapper- have had terrible, terrible service more than once.
The Lighthouse  overpriced and there isnÂt even a great view to enjoy!
