    replacing master/bleeding brakes. Help!

I replaced master cylinder and primed as per Lyn's instructions. The old system was almost dry of fluid. I have been bleeding, bleeding, bleeding and finally got a little liquid to the closest wheel. Checked solenoid and it is working properly. Is this just going to take time or what, any ideas or similiar stories?

It shouldn't take a lot of time. First make sure all you connections are tight. Depending on how you are bleeding the system. If you are using the method of pushing the master cylinder plunger in and holding it in while someone opens the wheel cylinder and then closes the wheel cylinder before releasing the master cylinder it will take a little time. If you use the vacuum method hooked to the wheel cylinder and open the wheel cylinder letting it suck out the air, making sure you don't let the master cylinder get to low and let more air in, won't take much time at all. Start the with the wheel farthest from the master cylinder. After I finish I like to exersise the master cylinder with the wheel cylinders closed, several times. Then I like to use the method of pushing the master cylinder in holding it while opening and closing the wheel cylinders one at a time just to make sure I got all the air out. I also use a clear plastic hose on the wheel cylinder fittings so I can see the fluid coming out. Using the vacuum method you will get some air leakage around the hose and the wheel cylinder fitting. But it is not getting into the wheel cylinder just leaking around it.

    Good luck
