Help!! Problems with Trailer plug -in

All the lights on the back of the pickup works correctly. When I test the trailer plug(7-pin) on the back of the pickup here is what I come up with- I turn the right signal on & both the right & left signal wires are hot. Then I turn the left turn signal on & only the left wire is hot (which is correct). I hit the brakes & the left brake wire is not hot. That is what is happening also on my boat trailer & another trailer. This is on a 2004 chev. pickup.

    Thanks,
    Randy

Re: Help!! Problems with Trailer plug -in (bass202)

I have the same thing going on!!! My trailer lights worked with my last tow vehicle (the normal 4 prong trailer adapter), but I got an adapter to go from 7 pin to 4 pin, for my new vehicle and now my signal lights are doing the same thing.
