1991 evinrude intruder E150GLEIS.

At idle its making 12.4 volts. 1500 rpm around 13.8. At WOT around 16- 16.5 volts. As soon as I let back out of it, voltage comes down smoothly with rpm's. Is this normal and I'm being to critical? Battery is a 2009 and has lock nuts on it. It did this all last summer and fall and I thought the depthfinder voltage was lying.

Too High? Bad juju to keep running it? Runs great but voltage just seems to much. I have not confirmed battery with voltmeter, but new gauges installed last year. New gauge agrees with a humminbird 767 i took off of it a few days ago. I installed a lowrance HDS and it shows the same, so thats 3 out of 3. Voltage regulator/rectifier replacement time? Not to enthusiastic to drop another $200 into it right now if it will not hurt anything to keep using it like this. Could this damage the powerpack or worse?

So, should I replace regulator now or is it O.K. to run it another month or so like this?
