    Winter storage

    I have a 2010 mercury 250 pro xs what do i need to do to store over the winter???
    2014 War Eagle 961 Tomahawk
    2014 Yamaha F150 Four Stroke
    2014 MinnKota 80# Fortrex
    Lowrance HDS 10 and HDS9 Touch
    LSS2 Sonic hub and Spotlight Scan
    2012 xpress 1652
    2012 mercury 4 stroke
    #80 minnkota 3x hand control

    What I do with mine is change the gear oil and flip the kill switch so it won't start and crank it over with full throttle and spray WD-40 in the butterfly to keep moisture from gathering in the engine (that's what my mechanic says to do) before that put stable in the gas and run it with the muffs on it and you should be good to go...

    I'd add trim the motor all the way down to make sure the water is out of the engine. Pull the plugs and fog the cylinders too. If you have a water pressure gauge, remove the hose from it and let it drain.
    If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.​

    if you have the original manual for the motor, there should be instructions as to what mercury recommends. if you don't have the manual, you should be able to download a copy from the mercury website

    Actually here is what you want to do to your motor before storage. You do not want to spray WD40 into the cylinders.
