    decarb question

I have read you can decarb on the ear muffs, but the can of Powertune I have said don't do it on flushing device. Can I still do it on the ear muffs or follow the directions?
Also the can says to let sit for 15 minutes after spraying then run it to 5000 rpms for 5 minutes. Should I let it sit longer than 15 minutes? I have read, let it sit overnight then run it.

    Thanks

You should have no problem doing it on the muffs. I have done it that way for years on both the Carb and DI engines. The longer you let it sit in the engine the better the chemical will work.

If you are using the BRP engine tune let it sit for up to 16 hours and not any more, and you can do it on the ears but best to take it to the lake after it sits.

I am using the Merc Powertune. Not sure on how long to let it sit. I was planning on doing it first thing in the a.m.

Not familar with the powertune, but suspect it's similar. I would NOT run it up to 5000 rpms on the muffs. Shoot the stuff in her, let her sit as long as you can stand it, then taker her to the lake and run the hound outta her, bring her home and change the plugs....
