1982 17' Hydra Sport--project boat

Good morning to you guys. Seeking info about what the inside of this boat looks like. I have looked threw all of the pics on this site and can not find an 82 HydraSport no where. Does anyone have a pic of one that I can use as a reference. It has no seats. It appears that there should be four seats in the boat, two in the front, two in the back. Trying to figure out what else is there to making it a really nice boat.

Looks like an early fish and ski. I have a 1997 175 FS which actually has a 5th seat in the back middle. The back outside seats pull out and drop on the poles to fish with. I also have a wrap around walk through windshield. It almost looks like yours was taken off.

That's a nice looking for for a 1982. I think you are going to have to use your imagination and get creative with equipping the boat. Now you have a chance to make it the way you want. I ended up putting a wrap around windshield on mine, that came off of another boat. I had to redo the walk thru portion of the windshield, but it works. You have lots of options on what you can do with the seating arrangement and seats.

Thanks...I was looking for more of a traditional bass boat to restore but my friend lost his job and I bought this boat from him. The floors are solid and it is just a winter project for me. I had another friend who had a Ranger that needed some work and we were going to trade but the flooring on that boat was much to weak. Also his engine was locked up which ended the deal. I'm just going to find some after market seats, trolling motor and go from there. Thanks guys for your input.

I had originally put Wise brand seats in my boat but they didn't last too many years. I am now using Tempest seats. So, my advise is to not use Wise brand seats. The Tempest seats seem to be holding up better.

Watch ebay for a windshield. Just take some dimensions on what you need and compare them to what you find. If you need to make adjustements, make them at the walk thru portion...or make it a dual console type arrangement, with separate windshields on each side.

HELLO , I JUST BOUGHT A 1985 HS VS16 AND I WAS LOOKING TO RESTORE IT.
IT HAS A 75 HP EVINRUDE ON IT THAT RUNS REALLY GOOD AND THE TRANSOM
SHOWS LITTLE IF NO STRESS AT ALL. BUT IT NEEDS TO BE REWIRED. I WOULD
APPRECIATE ANY TIPS I COULD GET FROM U ON WHERE TO FIND PARTS FOR THESE BOATS WIRING DIAGRAMS,ETC.....

I bought an Venture F&S. I had to put a new floor in it due to the way they installed the front seats. So I went with Pedestals and swivels for the front seats . When i put the new floor in I add a extra piece of wood with stainless blind nuts so the pedestal could be bolted in and sealed so no water could get in .
