    Powerpack replacement

    96 Model Evinrude 150 #4149981

Last time on the water the engine had a dead miss just like you had cut the key off and turned it back on. It did finally quit and would not start. After trying to start for a while it finally started and ran fine for the rest of the day after a few more missing episodes.

Does this sound like a powerback failure ?

If so which one would be the reccomended replacement ? (OEM, CDI, Sierra)

    Re: Powerpack replacement (aj306)

thats the way mine would do, you would never know when its gonna quit, would always start but had to wait 15 or so minutes, I bought a serria brand, cause it was cheaper in price, never had no problems with it after that, i think it was around $140 for my 94 model,if ya need info on where let me know

    Re: Powerpack replacement (rude power)

OEM is always my first choice, price wise CDI and BRP are close in suggested retail Sierra is the least expensive.
