I'm running a 2005 175 Johnson/carb, turning a 24P raker, no jack plate, prop shaft 3.5 below the pad. great hole shot and will run WOT 5400rpm, 60.5mph (gps) both tanks half, full livewell, all gear and me... runs about 56.5-57.5 with a co-angler.

Should I expect more? would a Jack plate make signifcant difference? Props??? or am I good,,,
