We braved the wind and waves at Limestone this weekend. Never been there before so I didn't know what to expect or any areas to check out. We just drove around for a little while on Friday after the 15 minute ride through the no wake zone getting out of the marina. Settled in on the cove at Long Branch. My son caught a 3#9 oz on a Bandit 300 in some timber. I caught a small fish on a TR watermelon red Baby Brush Hog. Then we moved over to Beaver Cove fishing some boat docks where I caught a nice 5#. We also caught a couple of whites on cranks and white spinnerbaits. On Saturday, we didn't do as well since the wind was really howling and the water was pretty torn up. Went back to Beaver Cove looking for another good fish. I found it, but it was a 5-15 black drum. Caught a smaller one as well, with about a dozen nice whites. Interestingly, the whites were still full of eggs. I would have thought they had spawned by now.

Picture of the nice bass I caught. Marty cut my head off, said she thought she had the important thing inside the frame.
