I have a 89 150 gt- j150stlcem- I have a CDI repalacement reg. - both of the 2 yellow wires do not have a trace on them. I did a search and found a that you can conncet the yellows witch ever way you want.

I just wanted to make sure that is correct before letting the smoke out.

Yep either way you want, that is output from the stator feeding your VR.
