I fished the ABA tourney out of Clearwater Cove yesterday. The day started off cold but warmed up nicely by the end of the day. I started off in the cove where I caught the fish last weekend prefishing. The only bad part of it is the water was up another 2 feet, so the grass was covered with water. I had to abandon the flippin the grass pattern so I picked up the chatterbait and the 5th cast bam 2 lber. I said to myself let me throw this thing some more. Well that turned out to be the bait of the day. I fished around the cove and finished out my limit at 10:30. I had one squeker I needed to cull but I only had more bite the rest of the day. I eneded up weighing 9 1/2 lbs and that was good enough to finish 3rd. The winner had over 19 lbs throwing a chatterbait in the grass also.
