Ok my E150GLERV 1994 Evinrude 150 Intruder tends to run cold. if I start it and let it idle (especially in the winter) it will hit about 150 degrees (according to my guage) and I have to plow around a bit at 1500-2000 rpms to get it to hit 160.
I need it to hit 160 (per my guage) because otherwise the ignition stays on the 'warm up' circuit.![]()
I replace the thermostats, with I believe 148 degree units. I think they were the hottest I could get.
Incidentally, water pressure is fine, about 3-4lbs at idle (650RPM), and around 25~ at 110-120degrees running 3/4 throttle
