I use a clear strand jig. The fish see something but can't tell what it is. I use a Kalin's clear holographic grub as a trailer. Joey Watts at Flatland's Custom Tackle can make you one in a standard or swim jig. I use the swim jig in the super clear water at Norfork, LOZ, and Table Rock.

Best I've found on Lake O is bubble gum colored trick worm fished weightless in the dock shade when the big cruisers are getting ready to bed. You'll be "perty" impressed. Fish it just a foot or two under the water. You'll see most strikes tht way. Some will just nose the bait, but others will suck it down. Let the worm fall through the water without much imparted action, just a light twitch or two every 2-3 seconds works best most days. Don't get close enough to see the fish or they have seen you too.
