traps with braid-fluoro leader

When throwing traps in grass with braid on a mod action rod do you use a fluoro leader at all?

Provides another weak link and your looking a reaction strike anyway. Straight braid is what I always use.

If you HAD to have a leader, maybe consider mono, just to get a LITTLE bit of a shock absorber (stretch).

Personally - I'd go to a lighter action rod or a slower action rod before I went to a leader. I'd rather have more rod flex than worry about an extra knot to come loose. I wouldn't worry about the braid being visible - it's a pure reaction strike. JMHO....

won a tourney once throwing traps and braid with no leader. It was so cold out the braid helped me feel the bite so much better.
