The fixed bobber is a must. Many of the biggest fish you catch on a Float N' Fly will not pull the bobber under. They will just come up under the fly and take the weight of the fly off of the bobber. This will make the bobber tip up on its side.

This is my favorite way of fishing for smallmouth after the water dips below 50 degrees.
