I fish rogues, and now pointers, from ice out until spawn. I usually put them away once the water is in the upper 50's, and don't put them on again until the fall. Am I limting myself? How long do you guys use these baits?

I use 'em year round. I like them around trees during the summer. If fish are running shallow, I try the jerkbait. And you can wait them down to get them to deep structure.

In the spring I really rip them, then pause. Do you change the cadence depending on time of year?
the jerkbait is one of my confidence baits.... when I get in a pinch, I'll throw one year-round and can catch fish on them year round too.I believe you are limiting yourself... let the water temperature and fish activity level determine how fast and agressively you fish the bait. Remember, fish eat other fish year-round.
Active fish will hit a jerkbait year round. If the bass are willing to chase a spinnerbait or crank bait you can catch them on a jerkbait. Let the bass determine your cadence, but faster in warmer water is a good starting point.
