I plan on decarbing my 2000 175 Ficht. The plugs are brand new, but I have the old ones. Can I leave the new ones in? Does the decarb ruin plugs?

All of the previous posts on this subject say to put the old plugs in, decarb, run for a while at 3 or 4000 rpm and then install new plugs. The experts will be along later to correct me if i'm wrong.
The Engine Tuner has been known to foul the plugs, save your self the trouble and use the old plugs for the decarb and after the low RPM run reinstall the new ones.
If the plugs foul, it won't ruin them, correct? After the low rpm period, can't I make high speed run to burn off the carbon on the plugs? just wondering
It may ruin them, that's why we suggest you use the old plugs for the decarb.
