BBC Members, we hear a ton about how bad things are day in and day out. Today I'm going to tell you how great things are instead.
I have an 07 Triton TR21X HP w/a 250 Merc Pro XS that I absolutely love to run and fish out of. Due to the weight, power, tourque, and rough water I ride in here on Lake Norman in NC so often I like many other boat owners regardless of brand noticed a few stress cracks in my transom where the splashwell joins the transom.
The issues were purely cosmetic and posed no threat safety wise or other. I am a neat freak and like my stuff looking great so I contacted my dealer Anglers Choice Marine out of Martinsville, VA and spoke with Sandi who owns the dealership along with her husband Nick and asked if Triton would cover the repair.
She said let's get it looked at by an authorized repair center and we'll go from there which I think is plenty fair since they don't know if it's caused by abuse, etc.
I took it to Campbell's Boat Repair in Kannapolis, NC and met with the owner Jeff Campbell and left the boat with him. He took pictures, etc and made the claim to Sandi and to Triton and they honored the warranty and paid to have it fixed.
I got it back 2 days (not 2 weeks mind you) later and it looks perfect! It was delivered on time, clean, with no issues, etc. I have NO complaints (how about that huh?) and have nothing to say but great things about them both.
