this is a 2001 Johnson 150 Model # J150PLSIG. I bought the boat and motor new in 2002. I was adjusting the low end idle adjustments screws today (1/4 turn each out) due to boat having hard time with bogging down at takeoff after motor has set for any amount of time, but that is a different story. I took the cover off the carbs to get to the screws and I notice and oily substance on the back of the cover that goes over the carbs I look around and see a small box in between the carbs that has gotten hot and burned a hole in it. Can you tell me what this piece is, what it does, what would cause and where I can get another? I run my boat 1-2 a week every week and haven't noticed any difference in performance. Thanks
