    Caught this on chatterbait on main river near Mt Vernon. 11.15 on the scale...

    Man that almost looks like a giant grennel as oppose to a Snake heard. The one’s I have caught have had a longer snout and snake like markings. Either way i am glad he is out of da water!

    Its a big one what ever it is,,, kinda looks like a mud fish,, doesn't really have the markings of a snake head but it just may be the picture,,,, it does have the anal fin and tail of a snake head and not of a bow fin,,, so I think it is a Snake Head

    definately a Snakehead - had to reach into that mouth and get my lure (after the hammer to the head)...he hung out to dry in a dry livewell most of the day...

    That is an awesome snakehead! If anybody is interested there is a snakehead tournament being held on the potomac river on september 2nd. It looks like a pretty awesome event, Flying dog is going to be on hand with free beer and they are going to have some professional chefs preparing snakeheads during the weigh in. Plus there should be good cash payouts. All the information is available on http://www.whackfactoroutdoors.com. It's also posted in the tournament forum.
