Hello I need Help I just bought a boat with a 85 hp evinrude and when trying to tilt the motor up to launch it or down for that matter it wont move i have power going to it, but im not sure if maybe the cylinder needs fluid or what may be the prob. And also where do you add the fluid and also check to see if its low. Id appreciate any advice you can give thanks.

My Model Number is: E88MSLCUS, Serial Number Is: R 1481610
Im also wondering if you can point me in the right direction for Some spark plug wires for the same evinrude 85, along with any info about the power tilt/trim
Your model number indicates you have a 1987 88HP engine not an 85 HP.

You will find all kinds of useful info including how to decipher the model number of your engine & a link to the Evinrude online parts catalog
You can look up the plug wires you are asking about.
