I found the problem, I think, thanks for all the input from all you guys....the little ball joint clip that is on each end of the rod that actuates the timing advance....one of them was broken..... I replaced it $3.08 at the Johnson Shop......took it out yesterday, didn't cut out at all. THANKS GUYS
