    Mercury motors?

HI guys i was wondering if i could get your opinions? I'm looking at 2 boats
one motor is a 225 ProXS merc. the other boat has a 225 optimax. My question is which is a better motor or they the same?? what about gas consumption which is better? your opinions are appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

The pro xs is going to be faster if it is on the same boat as the opti. I think it has to do with the gear case and the pro xs is their racing motor. I would go with the pro xs if the warranty was the same (not sure if you are looking at new or used)

Post more info on what you are looking at I think it would allow us to help you better

    How is your back doing?

Don't overlook owning a Phoenix! There are some nice ones for sale right here on BBC. Glad the back is better. Know that deal all too well. Have fun with the new rig!

Sent you a email Allen. If I had to choose, I would pick the black one. Either way you can't go wrong.

I looked at both of those Tritons! Nice boats, but I drove off with a new Phoenix! Make sure you check them out too! Happy hunting!

Phoenix!!! Yea!!!! Couick's Marine in Waxhaw has a 721 on the showroom floor ready to go home. He also has a 618 like mine with a Optimax 175. Give him a look before buying. Did me right and still does. A class act! By the way, my optimax sips gas.

Plus you can drink the oil if you get thirsty. I hear they make delicious water.

Nope, no problems since I got mine fixed. Yamaha has it figured out and fixed this one right up. She's running like a top and still has not burned a drop of 2 stroke oil!
