I was going to post this in the illinois state fishing reports, but this place seems to get more love.

I want to make a trip to a power plant lake this year to help break the cabin fever, but don't really know the first thing about them so I have a few questions to start with. I'm sure I'll have more after I start getting some input here.

1. Whats the best power plant lakes in Illinois?

2. Whats the best time of year to go to 1?

3. Do I have to worry about a lot of other boats on them or are most people run off by the cold?
