Whats the rut like in your area and just general activity of deer? Im in mansfield and seein a lot of does grouped up still and some smaller bucks sniffin around but have a feeling from this weekend on it will start gettin wild.

The little ones are on the move around here, the over all activity has really jumped in the last week.
What we cannot obtain from intelligence, we can learn from experience.
same here - was out Sunday and saw some smaller bucks makin pests of themselves......big boys should be out this weekend, long as the weather holds chilly!

The bigger bucks are cruising....I saw a pretty nice 120"ish 10 last night.....three different times!!! He was putting on a few miles...deffinitley looking. Can't wait to get out this weekend!

Picked off a doe Saturday eve.
I have Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday off this week to hopefully get a chance at a decent buck. If it gets too warm....I might have to hang up the bow and hook up to the boat!!!

I thought we were talking about deer hunting here??? lol
I was out again this morning and saw 5 different bucks....all smaller 1.5 and 2.5 year old deer. They were on their feet very early and by 9:15ish the action in my neck of the woods was over.
We took a little time to relocate one of our ladder stand for my Dad to hunt out of. I am excited for him to get in it and see what strolls by....it's in a killer location!!!
Gonna be back at it on Thursday AM...if the action is slow...we'll be heading to the water Friday mornig as opposed to the woods.
Anyone else out there seeing or getting anything?

Ive been on some good bucks , shot a 125-130ish 8pt , shoulder shot him and never found him , my fault but i guess thats bowhuntin
