2000 ficht wont turn over?

Just bringing her out from winter nap and she wont turnover. Batteries are fully charged, I tried to jump her and only thing that happens is that starter engages on the flywheel turns for a second and stops with the starter wheel still up. I have been getting her ready for years no problems Any suggestions or possile places to start. Thanks mcgaff1

First start at the battery and make sure the terminals are clean and tight, use stainless locking nuts not wing nuts! Second take a voltage reading at the solenoid battery side if you have 12v then check on the starter side and verify at least 9.6 volts while turning the key. also check at the starter terminal the cable can fail. That should get you started, let us know what you find.

terminals clean tight no wing nuts 13.2 solenoid side same on starter side cable looks clean and intact no visilbe signs of corrosion How hard is it to turn the motor by hand? Thanks mcgafff1

You did not say how much the voltage dropped at the starter terminal while cranking. Both hands on the flywheel to turn it!

Sounds to me like your starter may be going bad. Had a 99 ficht rude for 2 years and had to replace 2 starters, each one started out doing just as you have described, they will fly up but will not turn the fly wheel. Many times they actually just stayed up in the gears on the fly wheel, but eventually they will do nothing when you turn the key...could be that

Ihave some good news and bad news.Fist I know why it wont turn over.There were one mther and seven baby mice in the piston(good news) bad news have to take it to shop to remove head to make sure all is cleaned out.I knew I should have gone to work today>

Is there any way one preggo mouse could crawl thru the exhaust, thru a port that a piston is al the way down and nest in the cylinder...??????

thats all I can figure I almost died when I pulled the plug and saw a leg.Any Idea what this might cost to pull the head.Thanks mcgaff1

remove spark plug and get some gas in there, a match , get them well done and vacume out the remains

About 7mpsi. tight squuze there, better run 93 octane in that cylinder,

Being its a ficht is there a big hole in the block allowing them to get in??
