I was going to change my lower unit oil and I can't get either screw (Drain or fill) to budge. I am leaving next Friday for a trp and I need to get this done.
Any ideas??

Have you tried a bigger screw driver? I have heard of some using the type you hit with a hammer/impact... I never needed to though.

I was thinking of an impact driver too. I put some WD on the screws last night so I'll try again today.

Used some penetrating oil and Hit the head of the screw driver with a hammer and they loosened up![]()
if you can find some KROIL penetrating oil try that.stuff is amazing.nothing else i have tried even comes close.good luck
Tap it with hammer light, get some vice grips on the driver and you'll have the leverage.

Sounds like he got er loose but you're right Kroil is the best. Always have a can in my work cart in the shop. A hand impact tool is a great thing to have too, I use mine a fair bit usually when doing injection pump work on my older dodges.
How are you liking that new to you boat??????
