Places to Stay While Fishing Ross Barnett

Just found out that the Holiday Inn Express in Flowood, MS where we all had our reservations does not have any kind of external power outlets to recharge our TM batteries at night. So, we're back to the drawing board for a place to stay Jun 6 thru 10.

Where does everyone stay that has outside power when they come from out-of-town to fish Ross Barnett?

No idea where to stay, but I live in Ridgeland...let me see if I can come up with something...how many people and boats are we talking about?

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn on I20. Close to the Natchez Trace. Ran power cords under the door of the room and plugged ours up. Can jump on the trace and turn right on 43. Takes you straight to Tommy's boat ramp.

Thanks guys. There are 8 of us coming in 4 boats. We had reservations at the Holiday Inn Express in Flowood until I found out they had no boat hookups for electricity. But, we found out from the Flowood Police Chief (who fishes tournaments on RB) that the Sleep Inn off Lakeland Dr in Flowood is the ONLY motel/hotel with boat hookups. They were booked up on Sunday. So, we are staying at the HIE on Sunday and moving to the Sleep Inn for Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu.

Thats the best choice to stay. Make sure you eat at mugshots. Its in the same parking lot as the hotel. Good hamburgers.

Best burger in MS... Try the Black and Bleu burger (if you like bleu cheese) my favorite...

The other 7 guys are gonna kick my butt if I drag them from N. AR to MS for a week and we don't catch anything but a sunburn!

Was able to get our reservations changed a bit. We're now able to stay the full trip at the Sleep Inn due to some cancellations

I did have 4 blowups on a frog, but couldn't connect on any of them. Two guys stopped me and asked if I had a scale. They had a decent 3 3/4 pounder that looked a lot bigger, but she was all head...no meat on her bones at all. Caught her on a frog, said that was all they'd been getting any hits on.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is what it is.

I live off rice road in Legacy apartments. I used to fish a good bit when I had my boat down here. I forced myself to leave it in Columbus at my parents house bc i was skipping way to much class when it was down here!! I actually think im bringing it back down here next week though so maybe ill get to get out there on the rez a couple days. Ive only fished out there about 7 or 8 times though so I dont know the lake very well!
