    Need Help from tech Seahorse

serial #5114421, model #E225DHLSOC, I have had the fuel ball bulb going down that I can squeezer it several time on my fuel line when then boat sits for a day or two for a year and a half have replaced the ball bulb twice, primed it both times and the bulb will be somewhat soft the next day or 2, I removed the fuel line the other day on the out flow side and plugged it with another line, ball bulb stayed hard for 5 days so today I took it into an Evinrude Tech, for a leak somewhere. He is telling me that this is normal for the fuel ball bulb to not be super firm. Is this so? He ran a complete diagnostic and said everything was A OKAY. Question should the fuel ball bulb not stay firm like they do on carberated motors? Thanks in advance.

My 2000 is a little soft after setting for a while but if i do not check it it always starts and runs fine. To me you would have a problem if it goes soft while running. I would make sure the bulb is sitting in a vertical position and keep running it.
